New Season! My Fair Wedding: Unveiled

September 8th at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT...Saturday night...I hope you’re ready for My Fair Wedding: Unveiled because it’s going to be a crazy, insane journey to get my brides from the moment I meet them to down the aisle. The thing about this season which I really, really love is that you’re seeing the unveiled side of me, the unveiled side of the process, the madness behind the magic which literally is my every day life. Things don’t go perfectly when planning a wedding. It’s true, the first five seasons of My Fair Wedding were a lot of magic, fairy dust and dreams coming true; while the dreams are still coming true this season, there are a lot of bumpy parts of the road that we’ve got to get through to get to the other GREAT side. You’re going to see brides that don’t agree with me, brides and grooms that don’t agree with one another, momzillas that really are challenging to deal with, sisters that are really not supportive to the bride, family members that really are just disgruntled, even groomsmen who want to do things they just shouldn’t do. And when I say shouldn’t do, I mean really shouldn’t do. The reality is I’m having a BLAST doing this season and loving every minute of it because it’s REAL. I’m loving every moment of it because I’m still delivering the incredible over-the-top weddings and getting a chance to know the brides and grooms in a completely different light. So I suggest that you get ready, pop your popcorn, sit down, turn on the TV and watch My Fair Wedding: Unveiled on Saturday, September 8th at 9pm ET/8pm CT on Wetv because it’s going to be a wild ride!

  5. Hey David, I am a brand new viewer! I have been catching all the rebroadcasts for the last two weekends. Absolutely love what you do. Wish I had heard of you two years ago when I was planning my wedding. I could have used some inspiration or maybe even help if you were available lol! We got so frustrated, we ended up running to off Vegas... It was okay... I mean did win $2,000 the night we were married... I am still totally in love with my man but wish we had a more formal beginning to our life together... If you ever do a renewal special , I would be interested in how they should be handled or better yet, hook me up! Much love to you and all that you do! Kelly Baines from Newport News, Va.

  9. I absolutely ADORE David. You totally give brides and more importantly black brides the ability to see looks on women they can identify with. Living in the UK, apart from a fe niche magazines, anything mainstream is always directed at whie brides which is disheartening.
I'm a bride to be and your programmes(I think we re a few Episodes behind) are inspirational to me as a black woman. You're a star and well done you for seeing that women of colour a
So make stunning brides. Totally luv u dude

  10. YOU, David, are by far the most loving, caring, sweet, kind hearted human being I have seen on t.v. in quite awhile. I just respect your positive, sincere attitude more than you know!!! Wish that all people were as kind and considerate as you. BRAVO!!!

  11. I see on the site that you have photos for a baby shower you did. How about a sweet sixteen? I know your show is my fair wedding but how about giving us mother's some vision for our little girls. My daughter is turning 16 in 2013 and I want it to be magical! She's a little bratty but what kid isn't.

She's smart, loveable and well she's my little girl. I give her what I can but I really would like to give her a sweet sixteen without having to say baby i can't afford that. So with that said do you think you can come up with some unique ideas (hint she loves blue).

    Yours truly,
    Tania

  14. Dear David...we love you...as you can see by the outpouring of comments..the REAL side of you is wonderful..the Real behind the scenes is great..But..somehow, maybe it is the editing..we dont get the ending that is what made your last seasons. i know change is good, we all change, and shows have to change..but the WOW factor, the moment of the reveal, the change that happens in the bride..it is not as much a part of things..please dont cut that out..since it is the heart (and what makes us cry!)
we LOVE meeting your staff..your assistants..your comments..all of that is great..
we will keep watching ...we believe in you!!

I've always wanted to be a wedding planner. I planned my own wedding in Charleston, SC on the grounds of an old plantation home along the Ashley River while living in Houston. I'm a huge fan of yours. You are such an inspiration. Keep up the good work!

  21. Dear David and team,
I just started watching the show about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been amazed, and completely overwhelmed by the compassion, love, and generosity this show exudes. David not only are you immensely creative, talented, and just over the top FABULOUS. You are truly blessed to be a blessing to so many. I believe your show brings hope, happiness, and healing to the hearts of all who watch. I say these things out of experience from just a few weeks of watching, I have begun to believe I could have my dream. Even my fiancé has started watching with me, we look for the next time you will be on, and love to see what miracle of kindness you are going to do in some ones life. God bless you David, may you NEVER stop dreaming.

  22. I absolutely *love* this new style of My Fair Wedding. I can't get enough of watching you turn these somewhat impossible ideas into beautiful dream weddings. However I really like seeing behind the scenes with you and your crew. How you guys react and what you have to do. You really are miracle workers and such great inspiration. Keep being awesome :)

  23. The thing I love most about David is the love in his heart. I can see that for those short days, he truly feels love for his bride. I believe it is that love that sparks his creativity and passion. It is how I made magical wedding photos so many years ago. I cried at every wedding. David, you are one of Gods most special creations. We are lucky to have you in our generation. :)

  24. I love this variation of MFW.

The reason I love this show is because of your genuine concern for people, your tact and politeness to "diffilcult people", and how you can see beauty in a person regardless of their size and change their lives (I loved the dragonfly wedding episode) etc.

I recently watched the Mexican Samoan episode and loved watching you figure out the culture balance. I have not yet decided on having a wedding celebration because I am in the bind of different religions and different cultures. It seems like less of a headache to not have a wedding so I haven't opted to have a big day because the dream might turn into a nightmare. lol But I had some hope due to this episode; and then I was reminded that my mother might do the same thing as the mother-in-law! I was laughing so hard and shocked just because of how much I could relate to this episode. I thought it was awesome how you turned things around, how you utilized the resources available to you, and how you give credit to your go to people, event coordinator, etc.

You give me hope that I might have a wedding ceremony one day. Unveiled is awesome. I look forward to the season's episodes.

  27. David,

Love your show a lot. I wish 10 years ago there was something like this when I got married. It probably would have given me better hope during the planning of my wedding. Things didn't go very well. I started planning my wedding in 2001 for a fall 2002 wedding, when I moved back to FL from NC. We all know that that year turned out to be one of the worse in US history. Not only did 9/11 happen, our business fail, I was in the middle of planning a wedding I could no longer afford, and I also got very sick. My family wasn't there for me like I would have liked. My setup crew didn't even show up to set up the morning of. I had a breakdown that morning until my brother had a moment, and mind you it was a moment, of clarity and stepped in. And even though 45 people of the 150 that RSVPed showed and the mosquitoes descided to scare everyone else away and my cake looked great, but didn't taste that great. The wedding happened despite everything and it was great. I married my best friend and I did it on a shoestring budget. The best part about it all was the honeymoon. I haven't had a better vacation. A much needed vacation at that. My 10 year anniv. is in Novemeber and I don't think we are doing much for it, but I'm still excited. My husband and I are still happily married and peopled can't believe we have been for 10 years. They think we are newlyweds.

I love your show. I love to see women who wouldn't otherwise have something like that get it and they be so humble. It's refreshing. Keep it up!!

    Regards,

    Jennie

After the show is aired do any of them apologize or at least demonstrate some gratitude? Ah well, your fans love you and hopefully that will be enough.

  36. I just watched the shows and I am just sick I would have given anything to be one of those brides would not have argued and been the happiest and would have cried my way through. I even wrote asking for a wedding, and then to see there were girls who didn't appreciate it nor did they have one ounce of class I am just mortified. My wedding was horrid it could have been beautiful but it wasn't. I was so sick from having heart problems I could not get anything done and no one would help me, there were no table decorations, no guess hardly, nothing at all that was special, then to watch this I just kringed again.

  37. I have to disagree with Eliza Doolittle when she said, "The difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she is treated." You treat your brides like princesses and they often act like ungrateful guttersnipes. I'm floored with our society's modern sense of entitlement and it so makes my heart hurt to hear brides complain, nitpick, and be unappreciative of your generosity. Thank you for not giving up. There are ladies out there who deserve, and would appreciate, your expertise, vision, and magical execution. Thank you for showing us the messier side of the magic.

  38. I love you David!! You are so nice to those brides sometimes I wish you would fire them and let them have their tacky weddings the way the were going to have them. One day I want you to give a bride the wedding that she would have had without you when she is being such a ungrateful zilla!! I love watching you and the importance you feel about making sure that you create the brides vision, you are awesome and I love watching!

  39. I love your show!! i started watching your show recently and i am addicted. The things you do for this couples are amazing. i tear up watching every single episode because you make their dreams come true, you treat them like they are your family from the second you meet them (from being super honest to giving them so much more than material things. i am already married but i never had a wedding. i dream, hope, and wish that one day you would be able to do my wedding. like you say on many of your episodes "keep dreaming and dream big" which is what i do everyday...and i actually had a dream that you did my dream wedding...so i cant wait to see the new season and keep looking fabulous and handsome as ever. much love and luck your new fan. ps: one day ill get married wearing one of your dresses and ring.

  40. So I'm watching the unveiled show, I can't believe these girls! How disrespectful can someone get?! I just recently got married I. September. It was all we could do to even afford a wedding that now two months later we finally paid off an are now behind on bills. It discusts me to see people act like that after all they have received! Talk about being taken advantage of! My wedding was a horror show! But that's another story. I watched where a girl had u get another diamond ring! I didn't even get a wedding band at mine. It isn't about having everything an I wish these ladies would of seen that. Your a wonderful person an I love your show an the kindness an generosity you show everyone! Keep up the fantastic work love!

  41. David...poor David... I habe no idea how you manage to bite your tounge and not just throw up your hands and walk away. I cannot believe how these brides are so ungreatful for what you have done for them. They sign up for this show and then fight tooth and nail with you....I amright now watching Unveiled and I was compelled to write after seeing the wedding with the bride who wanted her wedding in a castle who was in my opinion..'white trash'. Also cant stop saying to myself "etiqwette". The drinking and carrying on about not being able to stay 1 hour longer..the reason I was compelled to write is I that I am a Fumeral Director and I have dealt with these types of families more than once!! So try to be professional and polite to a funeral home full of 'white trash' rude sometimes intoxicated so called mourners! Now theres a tv show... Good luck to you and keep up the hood work.

  43. I love My Fair Wedding and My Fair Wedding Unveiled. I have to say, though, that some of the brides are horrible. Do they not watch the show at all? I just saw the episode Brenchel and the one with poor Darlene and her groom Rafael. You must have the patience of a saint, David. Rachel was kind of ridiculous and I felt for poor Darlene. Too bad her uncle couldn't have stayed for the reception but at least he was there to give her away. Didn't show her mother Robin in a very good light.

Great work! I can't wait until next week's show.

  45. Just let me start out by saying David how much I love both of your shows. They are very different. For us anyway. Seeing how disgusting and manipulative some of the brides are gives me a whole new appreciation for your art. Sometimes I catch myself screaming at the TV set (yes I am losing it, haha) for you to tell them all bets are off. And I am looking forward to the show where you simply tell the rude bride that this is your show and that while you are very open to her dreams, she does not call the final shots and then see you walk right out the door. Meaning that particular show, that bride, is over.......

Me, my daughter and even my 9 year old granddaughter love your show and we give you all the credit and respect in the world for working with some of these people and really making a great show out of it. I always wondered what the behind the scenes were like and now we are getting to see it first hand in the Unveiled Show. I am only one person but I will tell you that we have had to stop my granddaughter from watching due to content matter, my daughter has lost interest with the Goth, strippers and burlesque brides but I am still watching. Just watched the segment on the burlesque bride and her fiance's best man wanting to call the shots "BECAUSE HE KNEW THE BRIDE AND GROOM". So glad that you stood up to him and told him in so many words to simply get lost. I love the David Tutera Show more. Where the ladies dream weddings become reality. I'm sure some of them could never afford what you give them. I'm not as crazy about the bossy ones. Don't they have to sign an agreement before being considered? I loved the Snowy Black wedding and was amazed to see how she really was. It was absolutely beautiful and never dreamed that she was so rude and scheming. Who wouldn't want a half million dollar wedding for free, but one should know that you would have to relinquish a lot of input to get a free beautiful, drop dead gorgeous wedding that will be planed and organized by someone who has the experience and artistic talent that you have and must be in order for it to be aired on a TV. Thank you David for all of the beautiful entertainment as well as the ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I recently saw an episode where the bride and groom actually got up and left their own wedding because they felt jipped on the food.

Are you kidding? David Tutera just did your entire wedding, YOUR wedding and you are going to walk away from it?

I was floored to say the least!

Anyway, I'm an avid fan. You definitely have a star up in the sky because you have become such a major sensation, I haven't met anyone who doesn't LOVE your work. Seeing how you make these ideas into reality makes me emotional everytime I see the show. I appreciate the vicarious experience. Can't wait til its my day. =]
